Post conference tour

On Friday May 1 we will arrange a post conferece tour. By train, boat and bus you can experience Norway in a nutshell. The train leaves from Bergen Central Station at approx. 08:00. Return to the hotel at approx. 20:30. Grand Hotel Terminus is located close by the Central Station.

The Gateway to the Fjords of Norway

Bergen is known as the "Gateway to the fjords" or "The Fjord Capital", and is situated on the mountainous West Coast of Norway at a latitude of 60 degrees. Not without reason has Bergen become one of Europe's busiest cruiseship ports and was selected as one of Europe's cultural cities for the year 2000.

Bergen is Norway's second largest city. The city has expanded to an area of 465 sq. kilometers and a population of approx. 223.000.

What has made Bergen known around the world is its charm and atmosphere. It really has to be experienced! Bergen is worth exploring. Just to browse around the old streets and alleyways is an experience. Here, people have lived and worked for centuries. Small wooden houses lie higgledy-piggledy, cobblestoned stepways climb steeply, and a love of flowers spills over everything. Choose between the variety of public sightseeing offers which will take you around the city and to the many attractions, by foot, bus, sightseeing train our boat.

  • Haakon's Hall
    The largest and most imposing building of the royal residency in the 13th-century. Center of Bergen.

  • Fantoft Stave Church
    Stave Church originally built in Fortun in Sogn in 1150.
